    ITW Rocky Mountain DC Kite
Having a kite store in a place with some of the most beautiful skies and worst winds on the planet, we’ve done lots of kite testing. In light, variable winds, nothing flies better than a Delta Conyne Kite. We made some ourselves in the early 80’s. Now Christoph is making these bulletproof fliers look as good as they fly. Made of lightweight 40-denier ripstop nylon with fiberglass spars, they’re well detailed and built to last. Rock steady, with the power to lift a lot of line laundry, it makes lemonade out of lemon-like winds. 4 tail attachment points. 7’-9” x 3’-4”. 46” case. (This product has a shipping length greater than 42" and cannot be shipped to some international addresses.) Wind range: 5 to 25 mph. Use 100-lb Dacron line.

What is your opinion of this product?
I have never seen a kite fly in such light winds. Took it out yesterday wind was so light it was about 2-3 mph with gust of 5-7 mph. I was in afield about the size of a football field surrounded by trees. Took a small gust about 30 seconds to get it higher than the trees and into light and variable winds and it went quickly over 200 ft. Flew for about 30 min before the wind went completely calm. This kite still wanted to fly. It floated with a smooth glide easily giving time to hand over hand the kite line and get the kite safely back to the field. GREAT KITE!!

    Excellent kite!!!
What is your opinion of this product?
I have had a version of this kite for 30ish years now. Still flying it. Repaired dowels once, but flew it in 30 mile winds, and it moved me off the ground. Takes off in low winds on first try. Excellent worth every penny!!!

    Wow! Really exceptional!
What is your opinion of this product?
I was very impressed with my first flight with this kite. I was hoping for something that could lift some small instruments or a camera. This has got to be a great answer. I flew it in a variable 13 MPH wind here in South Texas and it did not disappoint. The kite is very well built and the case it comes in is very nice. It was quite easy to put together, but I would watch the video to get the whole routine down, it will only take a minute. The kite launched right out of my hand and gobbled up 1000 feet of line and asked for more. It pulls quite hard and flies at a very high angle, I would estimate that it get close to within 5 or 10 degrees of straight overhead. The flight is very stable and there was absolutely no dodging or looping in gusts. I think this kite should make a great camera platform. It sure was a work out reeling it in!
