I'm a real newbie to the scene (I bought my first kite in probably 20 years about two months ago), but I love my Wala. It is DESPERATE to get into the air and flies in nearly no wind at all. In fact, if it's windy enough to fly almost anything else, you'll need to add the tail or the Wala will give you some real problems- it gets pretty sprightly near the ground in even moderate winds, and at altitude it will actually fly into the wind until you find yourself holding a slack line, looking INTO the wind a bit. Last good thing- it's really durable. My wife crashed ours into a tree today (as I said, sprightly near the ground!) and in the course of getting it down I basically pulled it straight down through a pine tree. The spine bent almost double- but didn't break. Now that I've cleaned all the pine tar off, it's practically as good as new- although it does smell a bit like a martini.

After just one flying session, this has become one of my favorite kites. It has flight characteristics that remind me of a larger, slower classic Indian Fighter kite (my all time favorite kite design ever). \ \ Both the overall quality of construction and good design of the Wala justify this kite's selling price. I was so impressed by its flight that I came right back home and ordered the larger WalaXL. \ \ It is one of those kits that you will want to always have in your kite bag. \
