Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? This is simply an awesome kite to fly. Super simple to assemble with just one long 2 piece carbon rod to add. Defiantly get 150lb line, don't try anything less. I put 1000ft /150lb on a yoyo. However, during one flight the wind picked up and while the kite ate this up my hands didn't trying to wind it in. I'd suggest investing in a windbreaker, u won't regret it. Launching was easy in light and moderate wind on my own with the kite climbing quickly thereafter. I added 2 transition tails (36ft) which only further enhance this beautiful kite. Ordered another 2 as it didn't effect its flysbility. It has loops for 6 tails in all. Great value for the money as it's got excellent construction and great colours. It's a no brainer buying this kite. Just order decent line 150lb, (I got 1000ft) and a windbreaker line reel. Enjoy
    Beautiful looking kite!! Well made..

What is your opinion of this product? I flew this awesome kite yesterday 4/10/16 at the Long Branch kite fest in NJ 1st time. I used the rainbow transition 38 foot streamers. I wanted to add my 150 foot streamer in the center but I didn't have enough stiffness on the leading edge of that streamer. However,DO NOT use a reel line winder as it is totally useless!! I could not get this kite down from 15 feet up in strong winds on the beach...my fault for under estimating the power of lift this kite has!!150 lb test branded line is fine but use a large hoop for this kite..Wow my arms still hurt a day later after that mistake.I can't wait to get this back up and the streamer tail on it!!

What is your opinion of this product? Amazingly easy to set-up, to launch and to fly. Amazingly adept at grabbing the attention of everyone at the beach, too, and before any line laundry was attached. Amazingly stable in light 5.5 mph winds as well as in gusty 16+or- mph winds at the beach as a front moves in. This kite exceeds expectations and is definitely my favorite. Watch the video at ITW and get hooked!

What is your opinion of this product? Got the Stratosphere Double DC this week after a long wait. Even though there wasn't much wind I had to take it out today and try to fly it. Was able to get it up in the air with less than 5mph of wind. As expected it's a beautifully made and looking kite from ITW. Can't wait for more wind so I can loft some tails and laundry with it. Thanks again to ITW for making the best kites out there.

What is your opinion of this product? I purchased this kite to replace a very similar 2001 era double V Rainbow Kite specifically for high altitudes flights with a GoPro mounted. It has about 30% more lift than the old Rainbow and does not need a tail in 20 mph winds. The construction quality is also much better than the old kite and it uses carbon fiber spars vs Birch and the ripstop material is also significantly lighter. The most significant improvement is in wind shear conditions when the old rainbow would dive and roll on its back and become uncontrollable. The double DC just sags with a significant drop in wind speed with no dive and roll tendencies. The double DC has been flown successfully in 20mph winds with all 3000ft of 100lb line out in Kino Bay Mexico.
It was a long wait for the Stratosphere

What is your opinion of this product? It was a long wait for the Stratosphere, but it was worthwhile. This is a beautiful kite which really lights up the sky with its vibrant colours. Of course, it's also a great flier. Double delta conynes are renowned for their stability, and this is no exception. I haven't had a steady wind to fly it in yet, but it copes well with the variable breezes that it's encountered. \ \ As usual with ITW kites, it's very well made, and the fiberglass spars will stand up to a lot of stress. It comes in a sturdy case which could do with being just a little bigger. I shall probably have to buy another Stratosphere, as I don't think just one of these is enough.
