Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? I have hundreds of kites, but this is the one that I fly most often and would least like to lose from my collection. It flies well in a wide wind range, and can always be relied on to give good steady flight whatever the conditions. Its greatest asset to me is its ability as a lifter, which is how I usually use it. In hundreds of hours in the air on many, many flights, it has never let me down, and despite all that air-time it shows almost no signs of wear. It takes only seconds to have this kite out of the bag and into the air, and it's no problem at all to launch. I would not support an earlier reviewer's suggestion of flying it on 100lb line. Measuring the pull on the end of a line is NOT a good way to choose a line strength. That doesn't take account of wear and tear on the line, sudden wind gusts, or the knots used to attach the line to the bridle (knots can weaken a line considerably.) I use 300lb line on all flights, since even light winds can turn nasty sometimes.

What is your opinion of this product? This kite was recommended to me by ITW for the stronger windy days. This recommendation has turned out to be a very good one as this kite will even fly in surface winds as light at 5mph over a 10min average. It flies with good stability in gusty surface winds up to 25mph when other kites are much less stable. I also fly the ITW double DC stratosphere and Levitation light kites and have found this to be the best flying kite that is also very good looking in the sky. I have found that the maximum measured pull with steady 20mph 10min average surface winds is around 30lbs so 100lb dacron line works well to fly this kite.
