Product Description

ITW Rocky Mountain DC Kite
Having a kite store in a place with some of the most beautiful skies and worst winds on the planet, we’ve done lots of kite testing. In light, variable winds, nothing flies better than a Delta Conyne Kite. We made some ourselves in the early 80’s. Now Christoph is making these bulletproof fliers look as good as they fly. Made of lightweight 40-denier ripstop nylon with fiberglass spars, they’re well detailed and built to last. Rock steady, with the power to lift a lot of line laundry, it makes lemonade out of lemon-like winds. 4 tail attachment points. 7’-9” x 3’-4”. 46” case. (This product has a shipping length greater than 42" and cannot be shipped to some international addresses.) Wind range: 5 to 25 mph. Use 100-lb Dacron line.

One of my favorite kites
Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
I have been flying and collecting kites for over 35 years. This Rocky Mountain DC kite is one of my favorites, the colors are exceptional. It will fly in almost any conditions, it's stable and pulls enough to lift a fair amount of line laundry. It's well made and a good value.

GREAT Kite !! Loves High Altitude !
What is your opinion of this product?
This kite will really surprise you with how hard it can PULL !! It is only about 3 foot tall and 7-1/2 feet wide so it doesn't look like it would pull that much (probably because it is only 3 ft tall). This kite flies beautifully, I fly mine with two 48 foot transition tails at the two center attachments and it looks great in the sky. I have put it up to 3000 ft high many times and it looks real cool way up there, you can get a good close up view using binoculars ! One day the wind really gusted strong and broke the cross spar, but it rode it out for a long time and nearly pulled me off the ground .......I think this kite can pull as hard as my 12 foot delta ! I am guessing the wind gusted to 35 or 40 mph before the cross spar finally broke (I was almost glad it broke and saved my arms!) This is a great kite and will easily lift cameras, lots of line laundry, etc. Comfortable to fly in winds from 4 or 5 mph up to 15 mph, above 15 mph it is a workout ! Definitely wear gloves !!

Best single line kite you can buy
What is your opinion of this product?
I have never seen a kite fly in such light winds. Took it out yesterday wind was so light it was about 2-3 mph with gust of 5-7 mph. I was in afield about the size of a football field surrounded by trees. Took a small gust about 30 seconds to get it higher than the trees and into light and variable winds and it went quickly over 200 ft. Flew for about 30 min before the wind went completely calm. This kite still wanted to fly. It floated with a smooth glide easily giving time to hand over hand the kite line and get the kite safely back to the field. GREAT KITE!!
