ITW Wisp II Light Wind Stunt Kite

This was my first two line delta, I wanted something to fly when there wasn't enough wind for my parafoil. It's great for city parks where wind is sparse, especially so because of its diminutive size and shorter lines. In comparison to Prism's 4D it is not as compact when packed away, but the Wisp II is far easier to assemble because of its single piece wing spars and lower spreader. The fit and finish on the case isn't as nice as the Prism, but it's solid and has room for two line sets. My main criticism of the case is that the upper spreader and stand offs get lost and are so thin and light that it is near impossible to shake them free of the case. (My solution has been to tuck them in the wing spar pocket for easier retrieval). Bear in mind though that the 4D from Prism is $55 more (at the time of review). I didn't care much for the finger straps included (double fingered), but they may be right for you. I'm still nervous to lose the standoffs and may add a touch of bright paint to make them easier to spot if lost in a field.

Of all the kites I have acquired since this one has given me my best flights, it's responsive yet stable even on the edge of the window. Don't hesitate to add this handsome flyer to your quiver. Every pilot can use an ultralight and this is the one to have!
