Unique tie-down holds the biggest kites

Unless you have sand handy, there hasn't been a way to tie down hard pulling kites without the use of heavy objects. Designed to secure airplanes to the ground, The Claw has 1,200 lbs of holding power. The more your kite pulls, the tighter it grips the earth.

Easy to install with a hammer (not included), it works in anything but sand or loose dirt. The aluminum frame folds to 12" and weighs less than 3lbs, including the corrosion-resistant spikes.

Excellent Anchor In Packed Dirt.

I've purchased 3 of these from ITW and used them on my 36 Power Sleds, P-60 Parafoil and my Killip Foils (45 & 90).
All at the top of their wind ranges without fail in turf and hard packed earth! See my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_THxk6aL0c&t=3s
I would recommend them to any serious kite flyer that currently uses the old 2-3 foot plus stake system. The Claw is easier to set and way easier to extract at the end of the day without rocking & bending any rods.
I'm getting a couple more next time I'm in Boulder for sure!

Excellent Anchor In Packed Dirt.

I bought these to use with my large P-60 parafoil, Killip Foils and my Premier Power Sled 36 kites. They work great with all the above and i haven't noticed any slippage or signs of them being pulled out even in the higher wind range gusts we get in Western Nebraska! I figured if they can hold down a plane in Boulder, they'd hold down my kites too.

Glad To Have These In My Bag!

The best part about these excellent anchors is you don't have to drive a huge spike 2 feet into the ground and at the end of the day, fight the spike to get it loose!
Also, they don't take up much room in a kite bag or a small tool bag (where I keep mine with the hammer). Some of the best holding power for the money IMO.

Safe way to hold down a big kite

This is a great, safe way to hold down a big kite, even in a strong wind. Very easy to use, taking less than a minute to fix or remove. Using a big carabiner with it makes life easier.

Very happy with my purchase

Haven't had the chance yet to use these anchors with the big stuff, yet... but have tested them with a 10' bol and a Premier 36 sled with and without laundry (spinsocks), 500# line. I'm a very pleased with these anchors, very simple to use, and they do exactly as stated, I didn't have any foot of the tripod even begin to come loose, they held as stated, even in the soft ground I had. Winds were sustained at 12 mph, and sustained gusts to over 20 mph. The Claw stayed true. Very happy with my purchase.
